A new special twist on the classic bread loaf coasters I've been offering for years - introducing Studio Inko Woodshop's Crusted Whole Wheat Bread Loaf Coaster Set!
With a “crust” of solid Walnut surrounding solid toast-shaped slices of Bolivian Rosewood, each piece has to be hand fit and glued together before being sanded to a smooth finish and varnished. The crusted end pieces of the loaf feature inlays of Bolivian Rosewood so when the loaf is placed together, the Walnut exterior all matches perfectly. These coasters are slightly larger than the other coaster loaf sets I’ve made to allow for even larger cups and mugs.
Each coaster slice is carefully handcut, hand finished, and hand sealed in multiple layers of a water repellent finish - a laborious process that takes several days. The set features four "middle" pieces of bread coasters and two bread end piecesthat can all be used as coasters. A small cutting board with a brass logo plate is included as well to display your coaster set and take your loaf to the next level. The perfect set to use for brunch, luncheons, and parties - wherever toast slice coasters would come in handy! Once your guests have left, arrange your slices back into their loaf shape and store on the cutting board for an adorable display that can be admired until ready for use again.
