Handcrafted and hand-finished out of solid Curly Maple, this cutting and serving features a detailed lantern garland with lanterns inlaid out of solid Bloodwood and Yellowheart. The Bloodwood's natural vivid red color works perfectly as the lantern body while the Yellowheart's inherent beautiful yellow color is lovely for the lantern fringe and top. The Black Walnut strings creates the garland appearance. The Bloodwood, Yellowheart, and Black Walnut inlays are emphasized by the light background of the solid Hard Maple board.
 
This board can be used as both a cutting board and a serving board, but it is recommended to cut on the side without the inlay and keep the side with inlay as primarily a serving service.
 
NOTE - We also recommend to avoid cutting directly on the inlay pieces to keep their appearance as smooth.
 
As with all our boards, this special board is carefully selected, cut, smoothed, and finished with mineral oil and beeswax - an hours-long process that is done completely by hand. Over time, the wood surface will beautifully patina, a reminder of all the wonderful meals prepared and enjoyed with family and friends.
