Handcrafted and hand-finished out of solid Maple and inlaid with naturally blue/grey Blue Mahoe wood, this blueberry muffin cutting + serving board is an excellent surface to prep, serve, and enjoy all types of breakfast treats. Blue Mahoe, native to Cuba and Jamaica, is one of the only woods available with a natural blue/greyish heartwood color - no dyes, stains, or artifical coloring for any of the boards I create! Using the wood's natural color and grain to achieve the look I'm aiming for is one of the things I enjoy most about woodworking.
As with all our boards, this special board is carefully selected, cut, smoothed, and finished with food-safe mineral oil - an hours-long process that is done completely by hand. Over time, the wood surface will beautifully patina, a reminder of all the wonderful times enjoyed with family and friends.
