Handcrafted and hand-finished out of solid Curly Maple, Claro Walnut, Padauk, and Lignum Vitae, this limited-edition, one-of-a-kind cherry cake slice cutting and serving board allows you to not only eat your cake off of the board but also have your cake after you're done eating. This board features a inlaid strips of figured Claro Walnut for the "cake" of the board along with a Padauk wood inlaid "cherry" and a Lignum Vitae "stem", the naturally red and green colors of the wood. Perfect for any cake lover and the best addition for birthday parties and celebrations.
This board can be used as both a cutting board and a serving board - we always suggest choosing one side to use primarily as a cutting surface and the other side as just a serving surface so it keeps a smooth appearance. We recommend choosing the side without the inlay to chop on.
As with all our boards, this special board is carefully selected, cut, smoothed, and finished with food-safe mineral oil - an hours-long process that is done almost entirely by hand. Over time, the wood surface will beautifully patina, a reminder of all the wonderful meals prepared and enjoyed with family and friends.
